Welcome to MARTZ&WALKER Meisner Acting Berlin where you will find full details of the courses offered by Hendrik Martz and Jim Walker, in Berlin. Both Hendrik and Jim attended the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in New York City, where they were privileged to study the Meisner Technique directly from Sandy in his last year of teaching. So the lessons you get in our courses are as close to the teachings of Sanford Meisner as you will find in Germany.
In our workshops we introduce you into the fundamentals of the Meisner Technique exercises of repetition, independent activity, emotional preparation, relationships and working with dramatic text.
Our aim is to show you how to take the Meisner Technique Exercises and apply them into professional working situations. So whether you're emotionally preparing for a "take" on set, or involved in an "independent activity" on the “twentieth show” of a play you will be able to give your work tones and flavors that will result in an enriched and spontaneous performance. The Meisner Technique has been proven over decades of application to be the foremost set of exercises in pursuit of this goal.
Martz&Walker have a combined 35 year professional working experience in front of and behind the camera of Film, TV and Commercial productions. What you're getting is a pool of knowledge from two people who continue to DO what they are teaching, in both the German and American markets.
