The weekend intensive is a 2 day class laid out for up to 8 participants covers the basics of the meisner technique.
During the Workshop you'll work the repetiton, Knock at the door, Independent activity and Emotional Preparation Exercises.
Our Goal
How can the Meisner Technique change the way I act and how can I utilize it? Through applying the technique, a deep contact between actors will be established.
The so-called "working-off" isn't just demanded, but we'll give you the tools to train this mandatory craft of an actor. The result is not another standardized performance,
but truthful, authentic moments, which make your perfomance unique. Instead of playing a part and exchanging lines, you "are" the character and you are having a human dialogue.
Actors, who studied Meisner, excel in the art of improvisation and through their authentic approach. And, by the way, also got thier lines down "by rote", another Meisner invention.
Meisner Actors "really do things" instead of pretending them, because:

The weekend intensive takes place from 07.01.-08.01.2012 in Berlin.
Its a 20 hour course and costs 200,00 € + 19% VAT. Subsidies through GVL are possible.In Cologne the weekender takes place from Feb. 11th- 12th 2012 and is a 2-day workshop.
